Hi,

I'm Charles Rose

My passion is to support people in living from a place they didn't know was possible, to connect with their true selves, and mature in business and life. I approach each individual with a holistic perspective and help them find authenticity, clarity, and deep joy.

I’ve always been interested in people and their psychological dynamics. When my father was elected to the House of Representatives, we moved from North Carolina to Washington D.C., and I got a front row seat on the twists and turns of political life.

I became an avid people watcher. With my father in high-level politics, I saw the strain on our family. Between the demands of congress and society events, I didn’t see much of my parents for a while. One of my earliest coaching attempts was a family meeting where I encouraged open communication.

I became interested in spirituality and technology. I listened to the Dalai Lama speak on Capitol Hill after my father had formed a relationship with him and invited him to speak at the US Capitol. It was amazing to hear someone so thoughtful and compassionate; he reminded us of spiritual values that transcend our everyday concerns.

My father championed new technologies in his work, and through that I was able to speak with Steve Jobs! I sensed his energy and passion and I knew he was changing the world.

Free Assessment

This free, downloadable questionnaire evaluates your life and your habits and it is an abbreviated version of the personal inventory used in my 1-1 sessions. It looks at some of the themes addressed in my full-scale executive coaching program.

My two paths were psychology and technology. My father said technology was the better career choice, and I spent a decade as a software developer before becoming an entrepreneur. I founded, developed and sold several businesses. My entrepreneurial years peaked with the sale of my financial technology company for $10 million. It was a turning point, but not in the way I expected.

After my lawyer called to say the deal was done, I celebrated alone with pizza and beer and watched the Uncle Buck movie. I had put business ahead of everything, including my family and friends.

It’s felt powerful to have significant money, but I thought I would be transformed into something new. I had accomplished my business goal but lacked personal happiness. I didn’t know at the time, but my real journey was just starting.

It took several years to figure out my next step. In 1999, I met a coach called Dorothy Divack, and she became an influential figure in my life. Her coaching inspired me to become an executive coach.

Dorothy had worked for the Foundation for Inner Peace, which published A Course in Miracles in 1976 – that book has sold millions of copies and has been published around the world. She taught me the importance of finding clarity, losing psychological baggage and discovering your vision. I discovered that my purpose was to help people.

Today, I live in Victoria on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. It’s a hub for the latest generation of tech entrepreneurs. It’s also a deeply spiritual place through its remarkable natural beauty.

I’m proud to say I have more than 20 years of experience in coaching entrepreneurs, business leaders and high-performing professionals in North America. It’s an honor to share my journey with these people.
